This statement is difficult to write as I am in the process of coming out all over again through the release of this collection of work. I am uncomfortable about it. About speaking, writing and and making work about it. I got tenure and let myself ease into the work. It was a struggle to find it and it has been a struggle to actually do. Life has been a different kind of hard with brand new first time’s happening this year due to the ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic. This work is wholehearted. This work is unbroken. This work speaks gratitude and celebration for the years of stability and growth I have received through the expanded field of ceramics.
